General description of recipe
Ingredients
2 cans of cut green beans
½ stick of butter or margarine
3 oz. bag of slivered almonds
1 cup finely chopped onions
1 cup finely chopped celery
1 cup grated carrot (I use the shredded carrots in a bag)
1 can of condensed cream of mushroom
Preparation
Melt ¼ stick butter or margarine in skillet, add almonds and sauté for a few minutes over low heat or until light golden. Remove from pan and set aside. Melt remaining butter or margarine, stir in onions, celery and carrots, sauté for 5 or more minutes until slightly soft.
Stir in soup,almonds and beans and heat through. I season with a heavy dose of Mrs. Dash – table blend variety. Pour into casserole.
When ready to serve bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or microwave to heated through about 5 minutes
